Spiritual Connection is the pathway to a relationship with
God. There is a simple formula to begin filling the hole in the soul. IF and THEN.
God tells us – IF you do this – THEN I will do this…Simple formula
Us + God’s Ways = Connection with God.
Connection is what relationship is all about.
God wants a connection with us.
He wants us to visit with Him each day!
How do we go about filling the hole? To make a connection that we will experience fulfillment and satisfaction - by applying God's ways to our life (His characteristics), to investigate the ways in which the longings of our hearts can be filled!
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”
(John 15:5, NIV)
His ways are not our ways!
“If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.” (John 15:6, NIV)
Let us begin to peek into His Word for His instructions - Open the Bible - it is an instruction manual for relationship, it is exciting and passionate. Together, let us discover what God has for us!
“…I will show you what he is like who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice. He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built...
But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete.”
(A benefit of learning is hearing!)
“Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all
circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (1Thessalonians 5:16-18, NIV)
He is a jealous God - He wants no other gods before Him:
“Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart
and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest
commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.” (Matthew 22:37-39, NIV)
“For everything in the world – the cravings of sinful man,
the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he had and does – comes not from
the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the man
who does the will of God lives forever.” (1John 2:16-17, NIV)
To have a spiritual connection – a relationship with God, we
all must make choices - every day – in
every way – the first move is ours! I encourage you to investigate a relationship with God - it is the answer in filling the hole in the soul!
God has said to me – Step your foot out – you will not go anywhere by standing still! So Do – Take Action – Be in a relationship with God!
